THE LEAD:
For the second straight game, Dean College was undone by their opponent's second half run – this time by Emerson College – and the Bulldogs fell to the host Lions, 15-5, in non-league men's lacrosse action on Saturday afternoon.

Emerson outscored Dean 10-1 in the final 30 minutes, including nine unanswered as the Lions secured their fist win of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Bulldogs actually held a 3-2 lead after the first inning following scores from Tyler Minor (Warwick, R.I.), Anthony Trasacco (Cheshire, Conn.) and Brody Fredericks (Weare, N.H.).

Three straight goals from Emerson put them in front, 5-3, but Dean got an unassisted marker from Trasacco in the final minute to make it a 5-4 score at intermission.

The team's traded goals in the first few minutes with Louis Piccolo (Foxboro, Mass.) registering his 15th of the season, but that would be all the offense the Bulldogs would be able to muster as the Lions outscored Dean 7-0 in the final frame.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Hunter Gervais led the Lions with four goals and an assist, while Peirce Eldridge handed out a game-best five assists.

The Bulldogs were paced by Trasacco's two scores, while Minor, Fredericks and Piccolo all had single tallies.

UP NEXT:
Dean returns to action on Wednesday when they host Maine Maritime. Faceoff is slated for 3:00 p.m
