Marshfield, Mass. – For third time this season, Dean College junior standout Jordan Booker (Waterbury, Conn.) has been named the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) men's basketball player of the week it was announced on Monday by the league office.
The honor for Booker comes following a 2-0 week for the Bulldogs where he averaged 30 points per game while adding 5.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game.
He played 79 out of a possible 80 minutes in the two games while shooting 56 percent from the field, including 55 percent from behind the arc.
In an 86-69 win on the road against Lasell College, Booker went 10-for-17 from the field to finish with 23 points, five rebounds and six assists.
Then in a wild 102-95 win against NECC rival Newbury College, Booker tied his career-high by pumping in 37 points, connecting on seven three-pointers and totaling four rebounds, five assists and two steals.
One of the region's most feared scorers, Booker ranks second in the league in scoring (23.0) and three-point percentage (47.7), while leading the conference in three-pointers made (72).
Currently sitting at 14-7 overall and 8-4 in conference play, Booker and the Bulldogs are in the home stretch of the regular season. They play host to Becker College on Wednesday before heading to Elms College on Saturday.
