Angel enters the first season of his second stint as a member of the Dean College coaching staff in 2018.
He arrives in Franklin after spending the past four seasons as an assistant at Nichols College. While with the Bison, Angel worked primarily with the offensive line and the tight ends.
With the Bulldogs, Angel will focus on an offensive line that returns four starters from a season ago when Dean ran for nearly 160 yards a game.
Before his time with the Bison, Angel spent three seasons with the Bulldogs, first serving as defensive line coach in 2010 and then again from 2012 to 2013, while also filling the role as the program’s strength and conditioning coordinator.
Angel actually starred for Dean on the offensive line, playing both guard and tackle during the 2007 and 2008 seasons when the Bulldogs won back-to-back North East Football Conference (NEFC) crowns, appearing in the Graphic Edge Bowl in 2008.
After earning his associate’s degree in sport management, he went on to play two seasons of football at Northern Michigan (2009, 2011) before graduating with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology in 2012.
