Marshfield, Mass. – For the third time in seven weeks, Dean College freshman signal caller Terrell Watts (New Haven, Conn.) has been honored by the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC).

On Monday morning, Watts was named the conference's Rookie of the Week for the second time this season after a monster offensive performance under center in Saturday's 53-21 win over league rival Gallaudet.

Watts was an extremely efficient 13-for-20 passing for 306 yards and a trio of touchdowns while adding a 66-yard touchdown sprint to his totals as the Bulldogs rolled up 623 yards of total offense.

Already ahead 19-7 in the second quarter, Watts scooted around the right end, got a key block from Nazere Jones-Clarke (Syracuse, N.Y.) and ran untouched for a 66-yard touchdown.

On Dean's next possession, Watts then connected with Errol Breaux (Marietta, Ga.) on a 38 yard score before the half ended.

After Gallaudet scored a touchdown on the opening drive of the second half, Watts sealed the contest on back-to-back passes in the third quarter.

First, he hit Quintus Reid (New Haven, Conn.) on a short pass and Reid then used a Breaux block to get to the outside and outrace the Bison defense up the sideline for a 57-yard score.

Then, on second down of the Bulldogs' next possession, Watts found Breaux on a slant route and he broke away from the defense and sprinted into the from 75 yards out.

In seven games so far this season, Watts has passed for 1,555 yards and 16 touchdowns. He has five games this season with multiple touchdown passes and has two games where he has thrown for more than 300 yards.

Watts and the rest of the Bulldogs (3-5) have a bye this week and will play their final two games at home beginning with a meeting with Castleton University on Saturday, November 3 at 12:00 PM.
