Marshfield, Mass. – Julian Burris (Marietta, Ga.) proved to be the most explosive player on the field on Friday night and he was rewarded on Monday afternoon. The junior wide receiver was named the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) special teams player of the week after racking up 303 yards of total offense – highlighted by his electrifying returns in the kicking game.
With the Bulldogs trailing 17-7 late in the second quarter, Burris blazed a trail up the sideline for a 92-yard kickoff return with just 12 seconds remaining in the half.
Overall he collected 163 kickoff return yards in addition to his 140 yards receiving and two more touchdowns.
Burris and the rest of his Bulldog teammates are back in action on Saturday when they host Western Connecticut State. Kickoff is slated for 12:00 p.m.
