THE LEAD:
Brian Hadden (Newburyport, Mass.) had four hits and scored three runs and host Dean College knocked off Pine Manor, 10-5, in non-league baseball action on Friday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The visiting Gators actually held a 5-3 edge after they scored three runs in the top of the fifth. Dean responded by getting two in the bottom of the frame to even the score on a sacrifice fly by Landon Fish (New Port Richey, Fla.) and a RBI single from Ben Chajet (Hillsboro Beach, Fla.).

Hadden then broke the tie game in the sixth with a run-scoring single to deep in the hole at shortstop. He then began a four-run outburst in the eighth when he drove in another run with a base hit to left. Another run came home on a Jeff Sharnick (Stafford, Conn.) walk and then two more came home on back-to-back wild pitches.

Dean opened the game by scoring the first three runs on a Will Kulcher (Crown Point, Ind.) RBI double in the first and then a two-run single in the third by Dakari Cox (Needham, Mass.).

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
In addition to Hadden's big day, Kulcher went 2-for-2 with two doubles, and Travis Dinsdale (Worcester, Mass.) walked twice, stole two bases and scored three runs.

Tristan Gaynor (Salisbury, Conn.) – the fourth of the Bulldogs' seven pitchers – scoops up his first career victory by tossing a scoreless inning of relief in the sixth.

UP NEXT:
Dean will be back in action on Saturday when they travel to Lesley for a 12:00 p.m. first pitch of an NECC doubleheader.
