The win for the visitors capped a three game weekend sweep and improved their record to 22-5, including 11-1 in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC). The loss dropped the Bulldogs to 9-24-1 on the season and 4-10 in the NECC.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Lesley jumped on the scoreboard early, pushing across a run in the top of the first, but Dean responded in the bottom half of the first with a sacrifice fly from Corey Karnila (Raritan, N.J.) that scored Dakari Cox (Needham, Mass.) to tie the game at one.
Lesley scored two more in the top of the fifth to swell their lead to 7-2. Dean scored one in the bottom of the fifth when Landon Fish (New Port Richey, Fla.) grounded into a fielders choice that scored Hadden.
Lesley's four-run seventh inning put the game out of reach and the visitors held on for a 14-5 victory.
