Baseball Sends 11 To Play Summer Ball On East Coast

FRANKLIN, Mass.-  After an exciting 2017 season for the Dean College Bulldogs, a new season has come for many of the team members as they have been selected to play summer baseball.

Many of the players ended up heading south for the summer to play in Florida. Dan Blazejewski will be playing for the West Boca Snappers of the South Florida Collegiate League. Blazejewski makes his second trip to the league and first with the team in West Boca. Joining Blazejewski in West Boca are catcher Tim Lombardi, infielder John Cerretani, and pitcher Coby Smith. Infielder Tristan Spiller will also play in the South Florida Collegiate League, but with the Boynton Beach Buccaneers.

Further down the coast, a group of Bulldogs will make their summer home in Miami, Florida, playing in the Gold Coast League.  Kyle Priest, whose versatility lead him to time in the infield, outfield, and the mound for Dean this past year will be joined by infielder Kyle Winn and catcher Evan Menzinger

Heading back up the coast, Jason Bottone will take a trip back to where it all started for him in 2017. Bottone will pitch for the Murrels Inlet Longboards of the Beach Collegiate League in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

In New York, Victor Paiva returns to the mound for the Hornell Dodgers of the New York Collegiate Baseball League.  Also staying in the northeast is CJ Ponce, who is playing for the Rome Generals of the NYCBL as well.
