Franklin, Mass. – Senior Jamaya Cleveland (Greensboro, Ga.) and junior Jordan Booker (Waterbury, Conn.) took home the Michelle Porter '90 and Thomas "Butchie" Williams '75 awards for female and male player of the year, respectively, highlighting an impressive night of accolades and honors at the third annual Dean College Department of Athletics Awards Ceremony on Monday evening.

A three-sport student-athlete in field hockey, women's basketball and women's lacrosse, Cleveland was also the recipient of the John A. Jackson Sportsmanship Award, given annually to the one student-athlete who best exemplifies all the characteristics associated with good sportsmanship.

Booker, meanwhile, took home his award after being named men's basketball team MVP for the second straight season. He eclipsed the 1,000 point barrier, was named first-team All-American by the USCAA and first-team by the NECC after averaging 22.7 points per game, while shooting 50 percent from the field, including 44 percent from behind the three point line.
